Glorious Alone Productions is a film company established expressly for female filmmakers focused on stories that expose the dark underside of women's oppression in its many forms.
We're interested in film ideas on the following:
We want to get your story out to the public. If you have a film in progress, or a film funding idea that fits within our parameters, let us know if we can help you raise funding to complete your project.
We offer small development gifts, and work with fiscal sponsors for larger projects. If your female filmmaker funding project is a documentary, we suggest the Core Application.
In October 2021, we sponsored the SPIRIT of SOLAX AWARD at the inaugural Dakota Independent Film Festival in Sioux Falls, SD. The festival was held in the beautifully restored State Theater on October 9 - 10. "The Spirit of Solax Award celebrates a visionary female director telling a story focused on exposing the dark underside of women’s oppression in all its many forms. Topics can range from sexism, violence, human trafficking, missing and murdered indigenous women to the many varieties of abuse experienced by women and girls."
We awarded a cash prize to the winning #femalefilmmaker. Read about it on our blog.
In February and March of 2021, Glorious Alone Productions sponsored the PRISCILLA AWARD for the 54 Film Festival.
"The Priscilla Award shines a spotlight on a revolutionary female filmmaker who exposes an underrepresented aspect of women’s oppression through her film. This extraordinary filmmaker empowers women by the example set by her protagonist to right wrongs regarding equality, trauma, family abuse, and gender parity. The film honors the unsung heroes among us every day who struggle to triumph against considerable odds. The Priscilla Award is offered in partnership with our 2021 sponsor: Glorious Alone Productions. A cash prize will be awarded."
Now in its tenth year, 54 Film Fest is a timed film competition where participating teams take on the challenge of creating a short film from conception to completion within 54 hours. Each film is then judged by industry professionals and featured at the 54 Film Fest Screening and Awards Ceremony. The entrance fee is free, and it's a terrific festival for new talent.
This year's PRISCILLA AWARD went to the film team Electra Productions for the film IN THE SHADOWS.
Seven teams competed for the award. Our judges had this to say about the award: "The film met the film producer criteria the best by supporting a revolutionary female filmmaker with a strong protagonist who must triumph over considerable obstacles. The kicker was the ending. Even within the constraints of its low-budget, short form, the film portrayed the injustice of living in a misogynistic, patriarchal society. The truth of the matter is, we’re left wondering if she will be convicted of murder. In the real world, she would have a 80% chance of being convicted.
We also awarded an HONORABLE MENTION to DarbyCalm for GROWING CALM. Our judges had this to say about the film: "This film was 100% on point. I found it deeply moving with a beautiful narrative that stayed with me long after the film was over."
We want to support your creative projects. Let us know what you need.
